“Queen of the hills”, Ooty or Ootakamund (Tamilnadu) is the capital of the Nilgiris district and is located 86 km north of Coimbatore and 128 km south of Mysore. It is a mesmerizing place which nestled in between misty fog mountains and cotton clouds. The “Blue mountains”, Nilgiris is one of the major attractions of the hill station. The Nilgiri mountain railway is a World Heritage site. The Ooty Toy Train is a marvel and truly spectacular journey goes through tunnels, curves, bridges filled with picturesque views and beautiful scenery en route.

Avalanche Lake, a natural reservoir surrounded by hills and a thin forest line, is a fun destination for trekking, camping, and kayaking. It has amazing scenic beauty and natural touch.
Doddabetta Peak is the highest point of South India. This peak is a huge crowd puller. The view of Nilgiris from here is breathtaking. Look through the telescope at top of the mountain for the more spectacular panoramic view.
The botanical garden is full of various species of plants and trees makes horticulturist’s delight. And a must visit for the nature lover and a photographer.
Ooty Lake is a popular destination for picnicking, paddle boating and enjoying Ooty leisurely.
Pykara Waterfall is a fantastic picnic spot with a lake, pine trees and of course, the waterfall. Adventure lovers will enjoy speedboat rides available at the lake, while honeymooners may like to take long walks. Pykara waterfalls flow through Murkurti, Pykara, and Glen Morgan dams.
