Golkonda Fort is one of the most famous Hyderabad tourist places. It is located at distance of 11km from the city.
The word Golkonda derived from the Telugu words “Golla” and “Konda”. The word Golla means Shepherd and the word Konda means hill which is known as Shepherd’s hill.
According to legends, the story related to this Golkonda Fort is a shepherd boy seen an idol on the hill and then informed about this to the Kakatiya king. Afer that the Kakatiya king ordered to build a mud fort around the idol.
The main reason for constructing a fort with this feature is, to alert the people in the fort easily if any danger occurred.Ramdas prison is also the famous part of the fort. 3. Hussain Sagar
Hussain Sagar is one of the most famous Hyderabad tourist places. Built during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah by Hussain Shah Wali in 1562 AD.
Located at a distance 2kms from the heart of the city. Hussain Sagar is a heart-shaped artificial lake which is connecting two twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
At The Center of Musi river, we can see the statue of Lord Buddha which is placed in 1992 by the chief minister of NTR. They want to place the statue of Buddha because he is well known for his humanity and peacefulness.
This statue is 16 meters tall and 350 tonnes in weight. The whole statue is made by using white granite. The maximum depth of the lake is 32 feet. At first, the Hussain Sagar is constructed to supply drinking water, from 1930 it is not using as drinking water.

4. Salar Jung Museum

This museum is open at Dewan Deodi palace on 1Decemberer 1951. The museum was administered by the Ministry of Scientific Research and Cultural Affair, Government of India.
